Comment

About Curd Ridel

Curd Ridel was born in Africa, but settled in Paris in 1979. He presented his first comics in Les Vacheries de Corinne & Jeannot and Footy. In 1983, he created 'Tahoré, le petit Tahitien' from scripts by Pierre-Yves Gabrion in Fripounet. He worked for the magazine Pif for a while, where he drew several episodes of the title comic, as well as the series 'Radio Kids' with text by Jacques Lelièvre. During the nineties, he developed several new projects, such as the adventures of the apprentice fakir 'Tandori' with Scotch Arleston for Lombard between 1992 and 1995. It was followed by 'Rigoletto Loustic' with Téhy (Casterman, 1994-95) and his long solo series 'Angèle et René' (Lombard, 1997-2005). He also took over 'Le Gowap' from Midam in Hello Bédé, of which he made seven books with Mythic for Le Lombard between 1996 and 2005. Text (c) Lambiek
