About Christophe Merlin

Paris-based artist Christophe Merlin has made illustrations for novels published by Nathan, Syros, Sarbacane and Casterman, and for the children's magazines of Bayard Presse. He has worked with authors like Florence Dutruc-Rosset, Thierry Lenain, Jo Hoestlandt and Hervé Debry. He is the author of the children's book 'Histoire de Monsieur Ours qui puait des pieds' and a series of books to unfold for Albin Michel. He has also made several comic books, such as 'Pied au Plancher' (Futuropolis, 1989), 'La Goule' (script by Agathe de la Boulaye, Casterman, 2005) and 'Nürburgring 57' (Glénat, 2012). For Sarbacane, he made graphic novels based on novels by Joseph Incardona ('Lonely Betty', 2014) and Martine Pouchain ('La Balade de Sean Hopper', 2016. He is an avid traveller, and maintains illustrated travel diaries. Text (c) Lambiek
