About Loïc Locatelli Kournwsky

Loïc Locatelli Kournwsky is a comic book artist from Lyon, who regularly works under the pen name Renart. He studied Applied Arts and Illustration, and made his debut with the comic 'Seconde Chance' in cooperation with Anoine Ozanam (Casterman, 2008). It was followed by the diptych 'Succube' and the claustrophobic 'Base Neptune', that were published by Manolosanctis between 2009 and 2011. He made the drawings for the book 'Que j'ai été', that was written by Charlotte Blazy and Joseph Safieddine and published by Les Enfants Rouges in 2010. He then worked with Thomas Gilbert on the book 'Aline/Sonia' in the sci-fi series 'Mastadar' for Vide Cocagne (2011) and with Éric Borg on the book 'Kwangala Connection' in the Casterman series 'Rocher Rouge' in 2012. Under his own name, he released 'Canis Majoris' at Vide Cocagne in 2013, a comics biography about political activist Louis Auguste Blanqui called 'Ni dieu ni maître' with Maximilien Le Roy at Casterman in 2014, and a graphic novel about the Indian Pocahontas ('Pocahontas, La Princesse du Nouveau Monde') through Sarbacane in 2015.
