En plus de cinquante ans de carrière, grâce à son talent éclectique et son style soigné, Giovanni "Gio" Romanini (1945-2020) a su dessiner presque tous les genres de BD.
Au début des années 90 il a donc passé quatre ans à travailler pour Disney et ce Picsou est un superbe exemple de sa capacité.

J'ai prêté cette pièce et d'autres de ma collection au Musée WOW de Milan pour une exposition consacrée à Romanini qui s'est tenue en janvier 2023.

About Giovanni Romanini

Giovanni Romanini began his career in the animation field, where he cooperated on the television series 'Carosello'. His early comics work include 'Satanik' and 'Kriminal'. He cooperated with the artist Magnus on several episodes of the series 'Alan Ford', as well as 'La Valle del Terrore' in Special Tex and 'La Compagnia della Forca'. Romanini created horror and erotic comics for Edifumetto, and cooperated with several foreign publishers. As a commercial artist, he worked for Panini and De Agostini. From 1992 to 1995, he cooperated on the Disney magazine Topolino, where he illustrated 'Donald Duck' stories. He then became an illustrator of 'Martin Mystère' at Bonelli publishers.
