Petra Cherie page by Attilio Micheluzzi

I went to Lucca Comic Festival in Italy last weekend with one goal. To come back with a good Micheluzzi page. I have been a fan for years and own two pages already but there were different elements I wanted. I got most of what I want in this page but also couldn't help also getting the second page as it reminded me so much of Pratt and Corto in Siberia with Noel Sickles influence. So, got both. I had set my goal about 6 months ago. I found out there would be a Micheluzzi exhibition at the show too which was a bonus as a nice overview of his career and this work so I knew how it fit into his oeuvre.

The line work and storytelling are quite stunning. You can just imagine Alex Toth admiring the economy and efficiency of the page. You can see Ruben Pellejero and Tim Sale taking ques from this. The images of Petra are great but the last panel was the icing on the cake. The tilt in perspective is brilliant.

Je suis allé au Lucca Comic Festival en Italie le week-end dernier avec un seul objectif. Pour revenir avec une bonne page Micheluzzi. Je suis fan depuis des années et je possède déjà deux pages, mais je voulais différents éléments. J'ai obtenu la plupart de ce que je voulais dans cette page, mais je n'ai pas non plus pu m'empêcher d'obtenir la deuxième page car elle me rappelait tellement Pratt et Corto en Sibérie avec l'influence de Noel Sickles. Donc, j'ai les deux. J'avais fixé mon objectif il y a environ 6 mois. J'ai découvert qu'il y aurait également une exposition de Micheluzzi au salon, ce qui était en prime un bon aperçu de sa carrière et de ce travail, donc je savais comment il s'intégrait dans son œuvre.

Le travail en ligne et la narration sont assez époustouflants. Vous pouvez simplement imaginer Alex Toth admirant l'économie et l'efficacité de la page. Vous pouvez voir Ruben Pellejero et Tim Sale répondre à des questions. Les images de Petra sont superbes mais le dernier panneau était la cerise sur le gâteau. L'inclinaison en perspective est géniale.
