About Matthieu Blanchin

Born in La Tronche, near Grenoble, Matthieu Blanchin studied at the Emile Cohl in Lyon, and began his career illustrating books for Hachette and Flammarion. His first comics album, 'Monsieur Bonhomme', was published in 1991. Next, Blanchin joined l'Association, where he published albums like 'Le Val des Ânes' and 'Ça déménage'. He was also present at Éditions Le Lézard with 'Blanche' in 1996. Blanchin's work was also featured in reviews like Lapin, Fusée and Ego comme X, in which he published among others 'Arlette', 'Mon Petit Sourire', 'Un Fou', 'SDF', 'C'est Piaf!' and 'Bonjour...'.
