About Olivier Marin
Olivier Marin is a self-taught comic artist, originally from Bresanne. He combines his passion for franco-belgian comics and classic cars in his stories. He started out drawing Tintin imitations, but it was the publisher Pierre Paquet who gave him the opportunity to make his first comic book together with scriptwriter Marine. This was the detective comic 'Michelle', a modern hommage to the Clear Line style, set in 1963. The book won the prize for best scenario at the Moulins comics festival of 2008.
Marin's second series was 'Les Enquêtes auto de Margot', a series about an apprentice journalist with a car magazine in 1959, published by Paquet since 2009. Marin is responsible for the scripts and shares the art duties with Emilio van de Zuiden (books 1 and 2) and Callixte (from book 3).
