About Anne Chatel

After getting her degree in Plastic Arts, Anne Chatel started out working in the advertising field for radio and television. She took over the artwork of the 'Aggie' series in 1980. 'Aggie' was originally an American series, created by Hal Rasmusson. The series became highly popular in France, where it was drawn by artists like Gérard Alexandre and Pierre Lacroix. Chatel brought some of the original style back to the series. In 1996 and 1998 she drew the two final episodes of the 'L'Espiègle Lili' series, which was created in 1909 by Jo Valle and André Vallet. She continued her comics activities with 'La Famille Pandachou' in Perlin and 'La Fée de l'Étang' for Dargaud. Anne Chatel also created games and illustrations for Téle-Loisirs and Club-Med Magazine.
