About Christian Verhaeghe

Christian Verhaeghe studied mechanics. He made his debut in 1993 with a six-page story in the magazine Jet of the publishing house Lombard. He cooperated with writer and publisher Ronny Matton on the historical comics 'De Bezette Stad', 'De Leeuw van Vlaanderen' and 'Kroniek van de Guldensporenslag' at the publisher Talent. The latter was also translated to French ('Ambre Blanc'). He went on to work for the French market, starting with taking over the artwork of the series 'Les Traine-Ténèbres' from Peter Nielsen at Soleil Productions. This series' writer is Brice Tarvel, with whom Verhaeghe created the series 'Les Contes de Mortepierre' in 2004. He has worked at Studio Vandersteen since 2013, and has contributed to the 'Suske en Wiske' comic since the album 'Het Schrikkelspook'. Text (c) Lambiek
