About Raives

The career of Guy Servais (Raives) is closely tied to that of Éric Warnauts. Their collaboration started when Warnauts wrote two volumes of 'Paris-Perdu', that were illustrated by Raives in 1985 and 1986. Afterwards, Raives and Warnauts continued their joint oeuvre, both doing artwork and scenarios. They started out this line of work with the series 'Lou Cale' (Ed. du Miroir), followed by several stories for À Suivre ('Congo 40', 'L'Envers des Rêves', 'Lettres d'Outremer'). For Casterman, they created 'Les Suites Vénitiennes' in 1996, followed by 'Un Diamant sous la Lune' in 2002-03. In 1999, Raives and Warnauts teamed up with scenarist Michel Vandam to produce 'Kin' la Belle'. In 2000 they were present at Glénat with 'L'Orfèvre'. Raives is also a colorist, among others on Jean-Claude Servais' 'La Mémoire des Arbres'. Text (c) Lambiek
