About Renaud Collin

Renaud Collin graduated from the École de Recherche Graphique in Ixelles, Brussels, in 1996 and made his first illustrations for school books for publisher Didier Hatier. He then worked for the design agency Cromozone, where he developed skills to draw with the computer. He spent several years making Flash animations for clients like Kidcity, Skynet and Belgacom. He started making comics after meeting scripwriter Vincent Zabus. Together they made the children's series 'Le monde selon François', about a little boy with a large imagination. The first album launched the new collection Punaise at Éditions Dupuis in 2007. Two more books followed in 2008 and 2009, and a collection was published in 2014. Since 2015 he draws comics starring 'The Minions', the small, yellow creatures from Universal's 'Despicable Me' movie franchise. The scripts are by Didier Ah-Koon (book 1) and Lapuss' (book 2). Collin has also participated in collective projects like 'Vivre?' (2010), a comic album for the prevention of suicide, and a tribute album for 'Les Tuniques Bleues' by Willy Lambil and Raoul Cauvin (2016).
