About Emmanuel Michalak

Born in Épernay, Champagne, Emmanuel Michalak attended the School of Fine Arts in Reims. He subsequently illustrated for several fanzines and roleplaying games. He began his own atelier together with Thierry Masson, called Le Tertre du Golem. He got in touch with scenario writer Mickael Le Galli through Anne Ploy. Together, they began 'Les Cercles d'Akamoth', a fantastic detective series inspired by Papini's writings on Satan, the work of Jung as well as The Beauty and the Beast. The series is published in albums by Delcourt between 2003 and 2008. He has also worked as a storyboard artist on Le Galli's series 'Watch' from 2006 to 2008. He has been working with Hub on the storyboards for 'Okko' since 2007. He is also the artist of the heroic fantasy series 'Aslak', that is written by Hub and Fred Weytens for Delcourt's Terres de Légendes imprint since 2011. Texte (c) Lambiek
