About Anthony Jean

Anthony Jean was born in Puyricard, Bouches-du-Rhône. He showed an early talent for arts, but initially ambitioned a career in science. However, he ended up in a Lyon-based art school, where he learned the finer points of comics, illustrations, animation and infographics. Graduated in 2004 and inspired by the American school, especially Todd McFarlane, he presented his comic work to the publishing house Delcourt. His first exploit was a contribution to the collective book 'Le grimoire du petit peuple' in 2005. The publisher hooked him up with scriptwriter Mathieu Gabella, with whom he launched the fantasy series 'La Licorne', that consists of four book published between 2006 and 2012. Text (c) Lambiek
