About Frédéric Boilet

Frédéric Boilet studied industrial design before he turned to fine arts and comics. He made his first comic, 'Le Guerrier Ligure', for Okapi in 1982. For the same magazine, he produced 'La Nuit des Archées' and several scenarios for artists like François Allot, Barthélémy, Moons and Tignous. He teamed up with René Durand in 1985, who wrote 'Les Veines de l'Occident' for him. Two years later, he took on 'Le Rayon Vert' at Magic-Strip publishers, followed by '36-15' at Humanoïdes Associés. He then took on a cooperation with writer Benoît Peeters, with whom he made such comics as 'Love Hôtel', 'Demi-Tour' and 'Tokyo est mon Jardin'. At Humanoïdes Associés, he also directed and translated a series of erotic mangas. Text (c) Lambiek
