About Maël

Martin Leclerc was born near Grenoble, and spent most of his childhood copying 'Lucky Luke' stories. He studied at the Sciences Po Grenoble and created the fanzine Youkaïda. He lives in Paris since 2000. Now he leads a double life. He is leadsinger of the folkrock group HitchcockGoHome!, and also works as a comics artist under the pseudonym Maël. He cooperated with the writers Nathal and Gibert on the 'Tamino' series at Glénat from 2004. In 2005, he produced 'Les Rêves de Milton', written by Frédéric Féjard and Sylvain Ricard and published in the Aire Libre collection of the publishing house Dupuis. This was followed by the one shots 'Dans la Colonie Pénitentiaire' with Sylvain Ricard (Delcourt, 2007) and 'L'Encre du Passé' with Antoine Bauza (Dupuis, 2009). In 2009 he started the series 'Notre Mère la Guerre' with Kris at Futuropolis. Text (c) Lambiek
