There's two things I really like about this prelim; the tight image of Dredd's face that is unmistakebly Bolland and also the contrast of the looseness of the rioting figures with all their movement and energy. This was for the cover of Judge Dredd Crime Files #1.

Brian Bolland is a British comics artist. Best known in the UK as one of the definitive Judge Dredd artists for British comics anthology 2000 AD, he spearheaded the 'British Invasion' of the American comics industry.
