Description

Lee Bermejo is incredible. This is a great example of both his wash and pencil style. His "Black Dahlia" take on the Joker was likely an inspiration for Heath Ledger's Joker interpretation in the movie.

About Lee Bermejo

Lee Bermejo is an comic book artist and illustrator, who is best-known for his interior and painted cover artwork for DC Comics. He has been active in the field since 1997, when he started as an intern at WildStorm. He participated in the 'Resident Evil' comic book and started working with DC in 1999, with early credits on 'Gen13' and the 'Resident Evil: Fire & Ice' mini-series. Bermejo has since then worked with writer Brian Azzarello on such titles as 'Batman/Deathblow' (2002), 'Lex Luthor, Man of Steel' (2005), 'Before Watchmen: Rorschach' (2012-13) and the best-selling graphic novel 'Joker' (2008). As an all-round author, he is responsible for the graphic novel 'Batman: Noel' in 2011, and for the ongoing post-apocalyptic series 'The Suiciders' with DC/Vertigo (2015). Among his other DC work are 'Global Frequency', 'Hellblazer' and 'We Are... Robin', that he started writing for artists Rob Haynes and Khary Randolph in 2015. Besides DC, Bermejo has done work for Marvel Comics, Men's Health, Max Mara, Top Cow Productions and Wizard Entertainment. He lives and works in Italy. Text (c) Lambiek
