Stunning Valérian & Laureline page from one of the greatest teams in comics, Jean-Claude Mézières and Pierre Christin. This early page is from the 2nd book “L’Empire des Milles Planètes” (1971) and was prepublished in Pilote No. 528 in 1969.

About Jean-Claude Mézières
Jean-Claude Mézières is a French comic strip artist and illustrator. He is the father of the science fiction series Valérian et Laureline, with a childhood friend, Pierre Christin (scriptwriter), and his sister, Évelyne Tranlé (colourist). Mézières has received international recognition through a number of prestigious awards.
