Absolutely gorgeous Valérian & Laureline page (p44 of 48) from one of the greatest teams in comics, Jean-Claude Mézières and Pierre Christin. This is from the 6th book « L’Ambassadeur des Ombres » (1975), which was later turned into a big-budget movie by Luc Besson, „Valérian er la Cité des Milles Planètes“ (2017).
The first panel was clearly the inspiration for the senate in the Star Wars prequels and the page continues with several beautiful panels of Laureline and one of the Shingouz, who had their first appearance in this issue.
