Cette illustration et les deux autres du même lot ont été réalisées lors d'un concert-cartoon du groupe Roman Noir, à la médiathèque de Biarritz. Fred Campoy y mettait en images les thèmes de plusieurs chansons du groupe.

About Frédéric Campoy

After pursuing a scientific education at high school, Frédéric, or simply Fred, Campoy went to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in his native town Pau for two years. He founded an art studio with his friend Roland Pignault and together, they made their debut in commercial illustration and comics fanzines. In 1998, they made their comics debut at Delcourt with the first installment in Jean-Pierre Pécau's 'Arcanes' series, for which they cooperated on the artwork. Pignault continued the series on his own, and Campoy took on two books 'Little Big Joe' together with writer Wilfried Lupano, a former barkeeper from Pau, in 2001. He worked with Pignault again in the following year on several short stories for Spirou. In 2005 and 2007, he made two 'SHRÖG' books at Vents d'Ouest, for which he co-wrote the script with Bruno Campoy. Campoy drew the eleventh installment in the 'Kookaburra Universe' series in 2009 and started 'Karma Salsa' with scriptwriter Joël Callède and Philippe Charlot at Dargaud in 2011. Text (c) Lambiek
