Description

Himadesho Omawari-kun is a very popular gag manga series in Japan. Pre-published in the 1980s in Coro Coro magazine. There are three bound volumes of the series. It is very similar to Akira Toriyama's style, particularly in the way he designs the very rounded backgrounds and especially the grimaces. He won the Fujiko Fujio Prize in 1980 (first place) for his one-shot Tamui Shinma (ムイ・シンマ). He was shortlisted for the 8th Osamu Tezuka Prize for his one-shot "My First Love." He is still active today and periodically creates editorial cartoons for newspapers.
