Description
Pencils and inks accompanied by additional graphic elements on transparent paper, from the legendary 1980s–90s run by Mike Grell on Green Arrow.
The page shows a light and romantic moment of conviviality, in which the two characters joke while acknowledging their advancing age. Grell writes Oliver and Dinah in an unusual way for a superhero comic: they are a couple already well into their years, always very intimate yet clearly mature. This sense of normalcy and realism in the relationship between two people who are no longer young serves as a counterpoint to the superhero side of the work, which does not shy away from being, at times, violent, bleak, and dark.
