About Mikaël

Mikaël is an allround comic book artist from Québec, who has built a poetic oeuvre aimed mainly at children. Active since the early 2000s, his first series was 'Junior l'Aventurier'. The comic, dealing with a 19th century English boy who travels the work with his archeologist father, was published by Éditions P'tit Louis between 2001 and 2009. Then came the one-shots 'Les Nuages' (2007), 'La Neige' (2008) and 'Circus' (2012) for Clair de Lune, and 'Les requins et le trésor sous-marin (2009) and 'Félice et le flamboyant bleu' (2010) for PLB. He is also the illustrator of the children's book series 'Le Roi Pizza' by P. Marleau for Éditions La Goelette. He turned to a more mature genre when writing the sci-fi series 'Rapa Nui' and 'White Crows', that are drawn by Fabrizio Russo for Clair de Lune and Djief for Soleil since 2011, respectively. He is hte artist of the semi-realistic western series 'Promise', that is written by Thierry Lamy and published by Glénat since 2013. Text (c) Lambiek
