Gegege No Kitaro page by Shigeru Mizuki

I love Mizuki-san's works. GeGeGe No Kitaro is my favorite of his series with all the yokai (folklore creatures) that inhabit the stories. One important creature is the one that inhabits Kitaro's eyeball. In this page we see the eyeball coming out and going on it's own adventure. It is likely this page is the first time the eyeball is identified as its own entity and was likely that this page was published in the original magazine publication in 1960 of the stories but was later changed for newer publications(this is common practice in Japan and Europe, newer editions are revised). In the English Kitaro book there is an early scene with the eyeball coming out but different from this page. The page also comes with a vintage envelope from the studio. I have a few other Mizuki-san pages which are great but Kitaro pages are not that easy to come by. I have a cool cel from the anime version of the books too.
