About Fich

Stéphane Ficher is a comic book artist from Liège, who works under the pen name Fich. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and then spent two years working for an ad agency. It was in 1996 that he first started to work on comics. He has contributed pages to magazines like Zigus, Scarabul and Klein Deuil, and he also contributed to the second 'Camera café' book by Didgé and Georges Van Linthout at Éditions Jungle in 2004. With Laurent Panetier he created the series 'Les Blagues Corses', a humorous series about a gang of criminals, that was published by Delcourt in four books between 2006 and 2009. He subsequently returned to Jungle! for a comic series based on the French TV show 'Nos Chers Voisins', that he makes with writer Zoïc since 2013. Ficher calls among his influences comic artist François Walthéry.
