About Jorge González

Jorge González was born in Argentina, but he has lived in Spain since the 1990s. He published his first comic, 'Hard Story', together with writer Horacio Altuna and the publishing house Norma. In 2001 he filled a page in the 'Tentaciones' supplement of the daily El País with the comic 'Las Gaviotas son Felices'. His 2004 comic 'Mendigo', written by Carlos Jorge, was published in both France and Spain. In the following year, he participated in 'Lanza en Astillero', a collective book about Don Quichotte. He continued to work with Altuna on 'Hate Jazz', published by Glénat Benelux and Sins Entido. Further works include 'Kinú y la Ley de Amarok' (Edebé, 2008), 'Fuenteovejuna' (Edebé, 2008), 'La Odisea' (SM, 2008) and 'Los Pasos de Lope de Rueda' (Casals, 2009). He won the FNAC comics prize for his comics project 'Fueye', published by Sins Entido in 2008. A French edition of this comic, called 'Bandoneon', was published by Dupuis. In addition, Gonzáles does illustrations for advertisements and storyboards. Text (c) Lambiek
