About Magnus

Roberto Raviola, known by his pseudonym Magnus, is an Italian comic strip artist. In 1964, he met Max Bunker (pseudonym of Luciano Secchi) at the Italian publisher Corno (it). He signed under the name Magnus, which comes from Magnus pictor fecit, another pseudonym under which he signed at the start of his career. Together, Magnus and Bunker created a large number of heroes for adult paperback formats known in Italy as fumetti neri.
