Between the scenes - middle scene in deluxe "Het monster van de moerplaat / Moordende concurrentie. The first deluxe albums were a very early (1985!) type of integral albums of double stories, with a file.
That file had title pages, and this is a sketch for one of those titles. Franka sneaking behind the scenes (which is a reference to the “peek behind the scenes contents” of the file) of the parisian Crocro Club.
The Eastern image on the canvas is derived from the Ziegfeld Follies
