Description

Original large-size Production Cel and Hand-Painted Background from Episode 39 (1985)
Kenshiro, Rei and Mamiya at the Gates of Cassandra Prison

Original anime production cel setup from Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star), consisting of the original hand-painted background and matching cel depicting Kenshiro, Rei, and Mamiya before the imposing gates of Cassandra Prison.

The artwork matches a scene from Episode 39 of the original television series, first broadcast in 1985, in which the heroes arrive at Cassandra, the infamous fortress-prison where Kenshiro's brother Toki is being held. The monumental entrance, flanked by giant warrior statues and grotesque stone creatures, is one of the most recognizable locations of the early Hokuto no Ken storyline.

Original manga: Buronson & Tetsuo Hara
Series director: Toyoo Ashida
Producer: Yoshio Takami
Screenplay: Hiroshi Toda
Character design: Masami Suda
Art direction: Mitsuki Nakamura, Nobuto Sakamoto
Studio: Toei Animation

A rare complete production setup featuring both the original painted background and matching character cels from the celebrated Cassandra arc of the classic anime series.
