Description
Fantastic Four 104 Page 21
John Romita Sr. and John Verpoorten Fantastic Four #104 Story Page 16 Original Art (Marvel, 1970). Reed and Crystal (of the Inhumans) get a cameo in the first panel, but this page is all about that hot-head, Johnny Storm... aka The Human Torch! This was only Romita Sr.'s second issue on the title after taking over the art from co-creator Jack Kirby, but he was already burning up the page with his talent. Just as Jack Kirby helped set the look of Marvel Comics in the Silver Age, John Romita Sr. set the look for the Bronze Age. Crafted in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There are some minor production oil stains in panel 2, the right side of 4, and left side of panel 5. With otherwise, only overall light tanning, this page is in Excellent condition.
