When I just got to this site - the first piece of art to post was not a question as while I have many pieces I don't expect to part with - this would be the most difficult to let go.

There are only a handful of 100% Everett Sub-Mariner covers in extant. This cover features a full frontal shot of Sub-Mariner--Everett's creation--as well as Venus from his short but memorable '50s run - and it is a 'black water' cover.

About Bill Everett

William Blake Everett was an American comic book writer-artist best known for creating Namor the Sub-Mariner as well as co-creating Zombie and Daredevil with writer Stan Lee for Marvel Comics. He was allegedly a descendant of the childless poet William Blake and of Richard Everett, founder of Dedham, Massachusetts.
