Rare and hilarious super early page (final page of the story) from the first self-published Goon issue (This was actually published before the Albatross Goon #1). The Goon sets fire to the haunted Decaster House while Franky cracks wise. Powell's marginal notes indicate that this story was originally intended to be the fourth issue of the Avatar Press Goon series in 1999, before the writer/artist decided to self-publish, which delayed the story's release until 2002. The text within the word balloons is all paste-up with some residue staining. There is a missing paste-up in the final panel ("Sold!") that has left behind a stain. This is really what makes out The Goon…a little horror and lots of fun/outrageous jokes…

About Eric Powell
Eric Powell is an American comic book artist and writer. Since 1995, he has worked with Marvel Comics, initially as an inker (Hulk, Black Panther), DC Comics (Batman - Arkham Asylum: Living Hell) and, more notably, Dark Horse (Buffy, Angel, Star Wars Tales and Hellboy: Histoires Bizarres). But it was with his own title, The Goon, that he found success.
