About Florence Magnin

After studying Fine Arts in Paris, Florence Magnin started her career designing stage backgrounds for theatre, postcards, posters and covers. She also did illustrations for children's publications by Scandinavia, Hachette and Nathan. In 1984, she published her first comic story in the magazine Métal Hurlant. In the early 1990s, she returned to comics. Cooperating with Rodolphe, she created the fantasy series 'L'Autre Monde', published by Vaisseau d'Argent and later Dargaud. Magnin and Rodolphe also made 'Mary la Noire' for Dargaud between 1995 and 1997. In 1996, Magnin illustrated 'L'Univers d'Ambre', based on the oeuvre of Robert Zelazny for Éditions Denoël. Again for Dargaud, in 2002, she began 'L'Héritage d'Émilie', for which she does both art and script. Text (c) Lambiek
