About Zata
Manuel Zatarain, who signed with Zata, was a Spanish artist born in Valladolid in 1928. He drew comics for such juvenile magazines as Flechas y Pelayos, Maravillas, Chicos and Boy. His most notable comics were 'El Capitan Martin de la Patrulla de los Diamantes', 'Goyo y Nico' and the 'Quique Banderas' series, with text by Mallorqui. After his comics activities, he devoted all his time to painting in Marbella.
