About Rafael Cortiella Juancomartí

Rafael Cortiella Juancomartí is a comic artist from Barcelona. He has worked as both an interior and cover artist for several countries. He has often cooperated with writer Acedo. In 1948 he was present in Nicolás with the comic 'Divúlguelo'. In the 1950s, he drew 'Skilled' in Coyote, 'Aunque le Cueste Creerlo' in Pulgarcito, 'Curiosidades Estelares' and 'Jim Futuro' in Futuro. He has done artwork on serials like 'Clay Sutton' and 'Comando Roy' for Símbolo, and worked with Victor Mora on 'Carlos' for Bruguera. He also did comic adaptations of novels for Bruguera. For Toray he has illustrated for collections like 'César Meteor-Aventuras en el Año 2000', 'Brigada Secreta' and 'Espionaje'. Furthermore, Cortiella has published his work in La Prensa, Acción Metralla, Action extra, Agente Especial, Apache, Aventuras, Bruguelandia, Chicolino, Cielo Azul, Don Triqui, El Coyote, El Javanés, Els Infants, Hazañas del Oeste, Hombres Famosos, Ovni, Pinocho (Cliper), Sioux, Sissi, TBO, Tumac and Yumbo.
