Wow! What a nice Conan!
4 panels to love!
So dynamic! Cinemascope in small and black&white!
Upper half

Description

This is one of the Conan titles, where John Buscema did pencils AND inks, which is remarkable as the inks in the Conan albums of the 80s were usually distributed to a multitude of inkers, while John Buscema delivered the pencils.
We see Conan and Fafnir fighting a demon, that tries to get into possession of Conans body (who doesn't want THAT? ;) )

Commentaire

I am usually choosing my pages not because I like the story or always wanted something from my childhood on my wall.
It is the page - the design, layout, inking - itself that catches me. Here it was the lower half of the page, which is quite masterful. The depiction of Conan with the lightspot from above is simply iconic, the middle panel with its layout of the confrontation and the depiction of the demon which is going mad are also fantastic in their composition and inks.
