Conan le Cimmérien - La Fille du géant du gel (The Frost Giant's Daughter) page 50

I wasn't familiar with this French book or this French artist till I got a random email from his gallery in Paris, showcasing his remaining art.

The artwork, to me, is part Zaffino part DWJ and I totally loved it. Got the book digitally in English but of course being a French book, that came out in 2018, I was too late to the party and all the examples I was interested in were long gone.

I knew I wanted a page featuring Conan, Atali (the Frost Giants Daughter) and her two twin (polar bear) brothers... But they were all spoken for and no one was willing to part with them. I'd given up!

Imagine my surprise when my good buddy Yo Kuri had a page for sale during this weekend's CAF convention!

It's glorious to behold in person... Oversized at approx 13x20. I love his linework and all the hand drawn lettering. I love the way he managed to depict the massive polar bears as they blend into the white snowscape.

If anyone has more pages featuring the daughter and her two twin polar bear brothers I'd love to buy them from you!

This story has been adapted by some amazing artists but this version and this artist is my favorite!!
