Published in Dark Horse Comics "THE ART OF COMIC BOOK INKING 2nd EDITION TPB by GARY MARTIN".
Published by DARK HORSE COMICS in 2005-ISBN 1-59307-405-0. The book is a guide for aspiring and professional artists with technique explained by Gary Martin and examples also by many other artists in inking various pencilers.
In the book was shown three penciled Conan pieces done by master comics illustrators JACK KIRBY, GIL KANE, and JOHN BUSCEMA. Also shown as example in the book was BILL REINHOLD's approach and technique in inking these three great artists on full-size blue-line prints.
The artwork for this piece is by JOHN BUSCEMA (pencils- blue-line print), and BILL REINHOLD (inks). The art was done on the reverse side of DARK HORSE COMICS paper in india ink with brush and crowquill. Paper is 11 1/2" X 17 1/2". This is essentially a page re-creation of Conan the Barbarian Vol 1 #45 p.1 1974.
Only the Bill (W) Reinhold signature is original.

About John Buscema

John Buscema, born Giovanni Natale Buscema, was an American comic-book artist and one of the mainstays of Marvel Comics during its 1960s and 1970s ascendancy into an industry leader and its subsequent expansion to a major pop culture conglomerate. His younger brother Sal Buscema is also a comic-book artist. Buscema is best known for his run on the series The Avengers and The Silver Surfer, and for over 200 stories featuring the sword and sorcery hero Conan the Barbarian.
