Comandante Prado

Commander Prado is an Argentine dramatic comic strip with a script by Héctor Germán Oesterheld and illustrations by César Spadari, published in the magazine Misterix between November 1963 and January 1964. Plot and Characters: The protagonist: Commander Prado (called "Cara de Caldín" or "Cara de Cali" by the indigenous people), punished by being forced to command the isolated and miserable fort Ñandú Quebrado on the edge of the Argentine desert. The antagonist: The Pampa chief Raimú, who seeks to avenge the death of his brother Narcó at the hands of Prado himself. The conflict: A tense and relentless mutual pursuit on the southern frontier that advances without respite towards an inevitable final destiny.
