This is colour test, prelim and not the published panel.

Each panel of episode one of Riley’s Rebel was painted on A4 watercolour paper. The pictures were then scanned and the comicbook pages assembled from the images in Photoshop. This was my first attempt to return fully to real media art after years of drawing comics digitally. Digital processes are the same in many ways as real media, but they are quicker to ready for print and editorial submission. But nothing beats the real thing so for a few years I have been trying for the best method to reintroduce real media into my workflow. The Cursed Earth: an irradiated wasteland covering much of what was once the United States. Inhabited today by mutants, exiles… and lost children. Now, Riley wanders this wilderness, looking for something important…
