About Wilmaury

William Maury is a comic book artist from Millau, who works under the pen names Wilmaury and William. A self-taught artist, he started out with drawing for some local magazines and as a portrait artist. He cooperated on two collective albums in the series 'Mystic Compeyre' in 1999 and 2000, and had his first solo effort with the historical comic 'Alban de Montcausson', that was written by Philippe Ajalbert and published by Aveyron Magazine in 2003. He created the detective diptych 'Baraka' with Georges Lautner in the collection Ciné 9 of Emmanuel Proust Éditions in 2004 and 2005. For the same publisher, Maury has worked on the collection of Agatha Christie adaptations and on installments in the series 'AmeriKKKa' and 'Bonecreek'. Inspired by his own daughters, Maury published a series of humorous pages on his weblog in 2006. This resulted in the gag series 'Les Sisters', that he signs with his firstname, and is created in cooperation with Christophe Cazenove for Bamboo Éditions since 2007. Text (c) Lambiek
