About Athos Cozzi

The Italian artist Athos Cozzi was always travelling. After getting lessons from the painter Tarrega, Cozzi began illustrating for several magazines. He moved to Spain in 1938, where he continued his artistic career. For ten years, he worked for several Spanish magazines, such as Pellayos, Chicos and Paturozito, drawing comics like 'Tucho de Canillita a Campeón', 'Corazon sin Miedo', 'Pedrin Machuca' and 'Sindhu'. He then moved to America, where he joined the publishing houses of Atlántida, Dante Quinterno and Columba Hnos. Text (c) Lambiek
