Beautiful preliminary drawing of page 37, showing a classical desert scene with Mortimer, Nasir and Olrik which - in my opinion - allows a more private glimpse into the artist's studio than the final inked original does...

Teun Berserik is a Dutch cartoonist and illustrator best known for illustrating The Valley of the Immortals, the 25th and 26th volumes of the Blake and Mortimer comic book series, making him and cartoonist Peter Van Dongen the first Dutch people to participate in the series.
