This original page was published two months before the first publication of Ishikawa's most successful series; Super Rose! He drew manga full-time for five years and his style was already very clearly recognizable. Many of his original pages are drawn in small size. Pages by Ishikawa in a large size are hard to find as well as pages from his first series
Kyuta Ishikawa made his debut in Manga Shounen (Gakudousha) in 1955.
He was quickly noticed and became an assistant/student of Suzuki Mitsuaki and Ushio Souji.
Suzuki Mitsuaki's influence is very much present in his style
Super Rose is considered the first 'Mahou Shoujo' superhero manga
Mahō Shōjo (魔法少女) or Magical Girl is a subgenre about young girls with superpowers
