Self-taught Michigan based artist Guy Davis saw his first cartoon strip published in his hometown newspaper during his high school years. He later contributed a story to the Fantastic Fanzine and eventually landed at Arrow comics, later called Caliber comics, were he drew the series 'The Realm'. Shortly thereafter he teamed up with publisher Gary Reed and realised 'Baker Street'. It featured an alternative Sherlock Holmes mythos where Victorian England is populated with punkers. Davis contributed to many Caliber projects such as 'Sinergy', 'Book of the Tarot', 'The Marquis' and 'Caliber Presents'.
Then, Davis joined with Matt Wagner to do the 'Sandman Mystery Theatre', which features the dreams of a grisly crime. More assignments from the major publishers followed, and Davis' credits include titles like 'Hellblazer', 'Batman' (DC), 'Grendel', 'Aliens', 'B.P.R.D.' (Dark Horse) and 'Fantastic Four: Unstable Molecules' (Marvel). He continued his creator-owned comic 'The Marquis' at Oni Press and drew 'Les Zombies Qui Ont Mangé Le Monde' ('The Zombies That Ate the World') in Métal Hurlant (Les Humanoïdes Associés). Davis has also done character sheets and chapter illustrations for White Wolf Games.
