With this page's original inks I also own the original watercolouring Mr.Romero did himself on half-sized cardboarded ink repro.
So beautiful page featuring the Axa of my teenagehood ! The crush I had on the free and independent young woman character, whom had profoundly impressed me in my early teens, stays magically vivid with every original page I manage to acquire three decades afterwards...

A propos de Romero
Enrique Badía Romero est un dessinateur de bandes dessinées espagnol, surtout connu du public anglophone pour son travail sur Modesty Blaise. Il est également le co-créateur de la bande de science-fiction post-apocalyptique AXA, ainsi que d'un important corpus d'œuvres dans son pays natal, l'Espagne.
Au Royaume-Uni et dans les pays germaniques, il est surtout connu pour sa reprise du comic strip d'espionnage britannique Modesty Blaise (1970-1978 puis 1986-2001) et comme co-créateur du comic strip de science-fiction post-apocalyptique Axa (The Sun, 1978-1986). En France, il est surtout connu pour avoir remplacé André Chéret sur Rahan entre 1976 et 1978
