About Andrea Mutti

After obtaining his degree in geometry, Andrea Mutti attended the Comics School in Brescia, led by Ruben Sosa. He began his career illustrating the superheroes comic 'DNAction' for Xenia Edizioni. He then illustrated horror comics for Fenix. He moved over to Star Comics, where he drew stories with 'Lazarus Ledd' and some episodes of 'Hammer'. Between 1993 and 2000, he was one of the artists for the Bonelli series 'Nathan Never'. He has also worked extensively for the French market. He made the series 'Break point' (2004) and 'Brumes Hurlantes' (2005-06) with Philippe Saimbert for Albin Michel. During the same period, he made an adaptation of Luca Crovi's novel 'Arrivederci Amore' for Dargaud. He has drawn detective series like 'S.A.S.' with Umberto Ciance for Glénat in 2006, 'Nero' with Alex Crippa for Casterman in 2006 and 'Re-mind' with Alcante for Dargaud in 2010. With Richard Malka, he made 'Section Financière' for Vents d'Ouest in 2006-2007. He teamed up with writer Nicolas Tackian to create the historical adventure series 'Le Syndrome de Caïn' for Soleil in 2007, initially using the pen name Red. Mutti has also drawn installments in the series 'I.R.$. - All Watcher' (Lombard, 2010) and 'Garous' (Soleil, 2011). Mutti's work was also noticed in the USA, and he has worked for such publishers as DC/Vertigo, Marvel ... Text (c) Lambiek
