About Stefano Turconi

Born in Milan, Stefano Turconi attended the Brera Art Academy and the Castello Sforzesco School of Art in Milan, before becoming a pupil of Alessandro Barbucci Alessandro Barbucci at the Disney Academy. He began his professional career in the second half of the 1990s with contributions to Walt Disney Italia publications. He has been drawing mainly 'Duck' stories for Topolino since 1997, but he has also worked for the titles Paperinik New Adventures, PK Pikappa, Topomistery and W.I.T.C.H. In addition, he became a teacher at the Comics School in Milan and began working in the fields of illustration and animation. He also teamed up with scenario-writer Giovanni Gualdoni, with whom he founded the Settemondi Studio. The team set up many series for the French market, including 'Akameshi' for Soleil (Soleil, 2003-2004), 'Fantaghenna' (Paquet, 2005) and 'Wondercity' (Soleil, 2006-2007). He created the horse humor comic 'Camomille et les chevaux' with Lili Mésange for Hugo et Cie in 2012. Text (c) Lambiek
