Crayonné pour une case de la planche 24 du tome 8 des aventures d’Adler: "Les Maudits". C'est de la planche 26, strip 3, case 2 dans l'album.
Cette illustration on va prendre pour un carte postale par l'edition Ziggourat en Janvier 1998.

Beautiful preparation sketch for the final page 24 from album # 8 "les maudits" panel 6.
This sketch was recently published in the integral # 3 on page 11.
René Sterne started, as far as I know, with a pre sketch of the page and than draw each panel on a separate page. Finally he decided on the "frame" of the panel (see the blue lines). All panels were than drawn on the original page.
It is still amazing to follow his steps until the final result. What a great artist and story teller!

About René Sterne
René Sterne was a Belgian comic strip artist best known for the Adler series.
Shortly before his death, he was working with Jean Van Hamme on a new album in the adventures of Blake and Mortimer: La Malédiction des trente deniers.
