Description

Don Rosa Kalle Anka & C:o [Donald Duck & Company] #1993-24 Story Page 8 Uncle Scrooge Original Art (Egmont, 1993). The robber, now in possession of the sacred Opal, proceeds to purposely drop our heroes' rope leaving them incapable of escaping the cave. To make matters worse, he also steals Scrooge's camel! Luckily Scrooge comes up with the idea to play the didgeridoo, which a passing emu hears. "The Dreamtime Duck of the Never-Never" is the seventh installment of the original 12 chapters in the series The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and was initially published in 1993 in Denmark by Egmont and later reprinted in the US in Uncle Scrooge #291 (Gladstone, 1995). Created in ink over graphite on two sheets of Bristol board with a combined image area of approximately 12.25" x 17.5". Staple holes, whiteout correction/clean-up, and editorial notes along margins. Signed by Rosa in the lower right margin.

Many of his stories are built on characters and locations created by Carl Barks, including the story that brought him to fame as a modern Disney artist – the Harvey Award-nominated comic, The Son of the Sun.
